New Data -- 23 Eastern Europe and Central Asia countries, plus Afghanistan

For the first time, Enterprise Surveys has published data on the business environment in Afghanistan. A total of 1,066 firms were surveyed, including 419 informal enterprises.

Survey data was updated for 23 countries in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, making this the largest data release yet.

New "Panel" Data

Researchers also have access to new panel data covering 2002, 2005, and 2009 through the "Full Survey Data" link on the navigation bar. Panel data is a cross-section of data with limited time series aspects. For example, the responses of individual firms (identified by an ID numbers) can be tracked.
